GOODNESS I'M HORRIBLE AT BLOGGING.
I'm re-doing this post that i saved as a draft about a week ago. I wrote it when I was in a very depressed mood, so of course i didn't finish it that day. Now that I'm feeling only a tiny bit better than I did last week, I'm going to attempt to write a complete blog. In fact, I've actually come up with a few topics to discuss since then.
Let's just start off with the topic that I've been wanting to write/complain about for quite some time now. Although that's a lie since I've only known about this for about two weeks. So my uncle called up asking my parents if I would want to help him paint, and like a fool, they said yes. Little did I know that this would include working an eight hour day with him on Saturdays and Mondays. We're painting this house that is owned by people who have apparently never heard of AIR CONDITIONING. They also have apparently never had someone paint their house before, since they don't know to move their shit out of the way for us before they get there. But they're old, so I don't really think think they're capable of lifting heavy furniture. I JUST LIKE COMPLAINING ABOUT IT. Anyway, the whole point of this is that I DO NOT like helping my uncle paint. The end.
Something else that has happened is that I have finally started my summer reading! I have to read four books in total for both my honors English and Social Studies classes next year. For English, the books I have to read are: Animal Farm by George Orwell, 1984 by George Orwell, and Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë. For Social Studies, I have to read: The Undercover Economist by Time Harford. I have to take notes while I read the books for English, and after I'm finished reading each book, I have to write a one page thematic statement for the book and a one page paper about why I liked it. After I'm done reading my Social Studies book, I will have to write a 2-3 page essay on it, using the rubric they gave that shows what all we should have written in the essay. I have about two months to get all this done before school starts. How fun.
That's it for right now.... sad, huh? I know.
